1. Overview

Retouva provides AI-powered photo restoration and enhancement services. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, why we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

By using Retouva, you acknowledge the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not upload photos or use the service.

2. Information we collect

Photos and restoration data

We process the photos you upload, your selected restoration options, task identifiers, generated results, and technical information needed to complete and deliver a restoration. Photos may contain faces or other personal information, so only upload content you are authorized to use.

Account information

If you sign in with Google, we may receive account identifiers and profile details made available through Google, such as your email address, display name, and profile image. We also maintain account information such as your credit balance, purchase status, and account creation time.

Device and usage information

We may process IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, request logs, error data, and a randomly generated browser identifier used to apply usage limits and protect the service against abuse.

Payment information

Paid credit purchases are completed through Stripe. Stripe processes payment-card details. Retouva may receive transaction identifiers, purchase status, the credit pack selected, and related billing records, but does not receive your complete card number.

Analytics information

We use Google Analytics to understand visits and site performance. Depending on your device and settings, Google Analytics may process information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser details, referral information, and interaction events.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• upload, process, restore, store, and deliver your photos;
• authenticate accounts and maintain restoration history and credit balances;
• process purchases and respond to billing or support requests;
• apply free-use limits, detect abuse, secure accounts, and troubleshoot failures;
• measure traffic and improve the reliability and usability of Retouva; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not use uploaded photos to train AI models.

4. How information is shared

We may share information with service providers that help operate Retouva, including providers of hosting, storage, content delivery, AI processing, account authentication, analytics, payments, security, and customer support. They receive only the information reasonably needed to perform their services and process it under their own terms or our instructions, as applicable.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect users or the public, investigate fraud or security issues, enforce our agreements, or support a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell your uploaded photos.

5. Retention and deletion

Uploaded photos and generated results may be stored for up to 30 days to operate the service and make results available. You may request or use available controls to delete your photos sooner. Copies held in content-delivery caches or backups may take additional time to expire or be removed.

Account, transaction, security, and support records may be kept longer when reasonably required to provide the service, maintain accurate financial records, prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.

6. Cookies and local storage

Retouva uses browser storage to keep an access token after login and a randomly generated browser identifier used for service limits and abuse prevention. Google Identity Services and Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies under Google's privacy terms.

Google Analytics is not loaded unless you accept analytics through our consent banner. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the site footer. You can also clear browser storage, block cookies, or use browser privacy controls. Doing so may sign you out, reset local preferences, or limit login and other site features.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service or storage system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your account and device secure, and contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

To make a privacy request, email [email protected] from the address connected to your account. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. You may also contact your local data-protection authority where applicable.

9. Children

Retouva is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Retouva changes or as required by law. We will publish the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service when appropriate.
